My favorite videos to watch--all the cool junk you get for nursing school.
Still to come: three more books, clinical stuff (including more nursing supplies)

TEAS TEST RESULTS

check it out! i should have posted this right after i took the test! i did pretty well (i did not study except for getting up ten minutes early to youtube how to multiply and divide fractions) ha!

advanced?! what? i'll take it!
GOOD LUCK

counting my chickens before they hatch

i'm just so dang anxious.
so, here are some nurse-y things i'm into (whether i get in this semester or 5 years from now):

1. bed number ten

Seen through the eyes of a patient totally paralyzed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, this moving book takes you through the psychological and physical pain of an eleven month hospital stay. Bed Number Ten reads like a compelling novel, but is entirely factual.
(side note: my dad had Guillain-BarrĂ© when he was young--i don't know much about it but i guess he's really lucky that it was acute)

2. this stethoscope + nametag color combo

it's between seafoam green and pine green on the stethoscope. i am really wanting a littman (even though it's totally unnecessary and i could get a package deal from prestige medical for thirty dollars less.

but that button for my nametag is super cute, right?
you can get yours here :)

3. a digital voice recorder

i'm thinking a good study habit for me would be to re-listen to lectures. i know this would have helped me in microbiology! there's just so much information you have to absorb.
this model is a little pricey (around $50) but it has USB, a memory card slot, and i can listen to it through the speakers in my car!

4. a watch

i am leaning toward a white watch. this one is cool because beyond the regular numbers is military time!

nursing school application

the application for my college's nursing program was available on January 31st (a day early!) and, being the nerd that i am, i was already checking the website the day before ;)
out of 12 pages of information, only 2 were actual application.
so, i have it ready to go! i have tried once to bring it to the nursing office, but no one was there to take it.

something about our program: nothing but your prerequisite grades can help you get in. you cannot send letters of recommendation, essays, volunteer work, etc. two pages of an application that includes information like:
Name
Student ID #
Which Nursing Program you want (Track I or II)
Address & Phone #
What College(s) you've been to
What classes you're in presently
Emergency Contact

crazy easy, right?
